Great lay out of self sabotage and how to avoid limiting our beliefs。 Good read, narration well done

An interesting read, which made me see some things differently, e。g。 people fighting to be the victim when dealing with conflict and the Upper Limit Problem。 However, I feel more detail is needed to explain how to apply what is mentioned in the book to help you conquer your hidden fear。

The overall delivery is more scientific than story, but there are plenty stories and case studies throughout the book。 If you've ever felt like the great successes in your life are immediately followed by a disappointment or failure, or that you truly can't have it "all," then you MUST read this book and learn about Upper Limit Problems and how to address them。 The overall delivery is more scientific than story, but there are plenty stories and case studies throughout the book。 If you've ever felt like the great successes in your life are immediately followed by a disappointment or failure, or that you truly can't have it "all," then you MUST read this book and learn about Upper Limit Problems and how to address them。 。。。more

I read this without realising it was recommended for people who liked The Secret', and I'm pleased about that, because I would not have picked it up if I'd known。I didn't love the book。 The case studies were scant and lacked information, and the 'Zone of Genius' is slightly too hokey for me。 I don't trust the author because he talks himself up a bit more than I'm willing to believe。But there's something in here that hit me in the gut。 I am allowed to be good at shit。I am allowed to be happy。I am I read this without realising it was recommended for people who liked The Secret', and I'm pleased about that, because I would not have picked it up if I'd known。I didn't love the book。 The case studies were scant and lacked information, and the 'Zone of Genius' is slightly too hokey for me。 I don't trust the author because he talks himself up a bit more than I'm willing to believe。But there's something in here that hit me in the gut。 I am allowed to be good at shit。I am allowed to be happy。I am allowed success。I do not have to limit my life because other members of my family didn't have the same opportunities I do。I grew up in a horrible mix of pervasive cultural Tall Poppy Syndrome and a family who would, upon getting home after work, complete to see who had the worst day, and who also believed no one with money could be an honest person。I've been a grownup for a long, long time。 I have to leave the ghosts behind。For whatever time I have left, I am allowed to fucking thrive。 。。。more

Loved this book and devoured it in 2 days。 It speaks to a lot of what I already practice and teach, but provides some great insights, given Hendricks' background and expertise。 (The example about how we instantly worry/think negative thoughts when things are going well is VERY relatable。) 10/10 would read again and would recommend as one of those books that *everyone* can probably benefit from reading。 Loved this book and devoured it in 2 days。 It speaks to a lot of what I already practice and teach, but provides some great insights, given Hendricks' background and expertise。 (The example about how we instantly worry/think negative thoughts when things are going well is VERY relatable。) 10/10 would read again and would recommend as one of those books that *everyone* can probably benefit from reading。 。。。more

I was skepticalI was skeptical about this book because I am not a full on magical thinking type person。 But this wasn’t that。 It called me out on how i Saba tone my own success and why I do it。 Now that this has been explained, I can see it and stop it and work to get more fulfillment in my career,

Good arguments, but not supported with academic research。

I genuinely think everyone needs to read this book! I had so many insights and transformations。

[Audiobook] If you’ve read all the self-help books, and have eye-rolled over many of them, try this one。 It’s like the tippy top of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs。 It really challenged my thinking, although I think I’ll need another listen/read to really act on any of it。 Bonus: Only the slightest dash of woo woo!

More of a 3。75 than a 3, but definitely less than a 4。 It's got a couple of really interesting and helpful ideas on reframing your thought process to cope with change, especially good change, but it definitely could be at least a 100 pages shorter。 More of a 3。75 than a 3, but definitely less than a 4。 It's got a couple of really interesting and helpful ideas on reframing your thought process to cope with change, especially good change, but it definitely could be at least a 100 pages shorter。 。。。more

Interesting and quick read with some great ideas sprinkled in the pages。

The right book at the right timeI actually bought this book a couple of years ago but I couldn’t get into it。 The ideas seemed a bit too “woo-woo。” Today, as I stand on the cusp of new success and opportunities for leadership in both my professional and personal lives, it was *exactly* what I needed。 I rediscovered it while reading Jim Dethmer’s book “15 Commitments of Conscious Leadership” — these two books complement each other extremely well!

This book is a game-changer。

Written by a know it all

Jason Coleman

I didn’t finish。 It just reads more like a self-help, Brian Tracy style book where there’s a bunch of cheerleading without very much practical advice。

Kawania Wooten

I thoroughly enjoyed this book。 It's much more about your fear, beliefs and personal limits and less about business。 But, I took a lot away from it。 I thoroughly enjoyed this book。 It's much more about your fear, beliefs and personal limits and less about business。 But, I took a lot away from it。 。。。more

Love, love, love, LOVE!This book has been on my list for a while and my only regret is taking so long to prioritize it。 Nevertheless, it was exactly what I needed in this season of my life。 It’s an easy yet thought-provoking and awareness-shifting read。 I highly recommend!

Unbelievable wisdomThis book is a little tome of wisdom。 I am so grateful for the inspiration to read it。 While it isn’t a step by step practical “how to”, it is overflowing with insight begging to be absorbed。 I will likely have to revisit this one from time to time to uncover the layers within it。

Are you ready to shift to an abundance mindset but don't know how? This book is for you。 It's incredible。 When read with conscious intention, you can manifest bigger things for your life。 Within literally 24 hours of completing this book, so many shifts happened for me。 Dead weight dropped, new people and opportunities came into my life。 My mentor Suzy Batiz recommended this book to me during her Alive OS coaching。 I am so glad I read it。 Are you ready to shift to an abundance mindset but don't know how? Hendricks has some good stuff to share。 But he also has some beliefs that seem a little unrealistic and a bit privileged。 But overall not bad!

This is book is pure wisdom。 The book itself is very small, however the content is very high。 It's one of these life-changing books。 It talks about sabotaging yourself in a way that has never been explained before。 Or shall I say, has never been explained in a way that it can be understood straight away。 I also love the fact that the author gets straight to the point and offers unusual ways to stop sabotaging yourself。 'I loved this book' is an understatement。 This is book is pure wisdom。 The book itself is very small, however the content is very high。 It's one of these life-changing books。 It talks about sabotaging yourself in a way that has never been explained before。 Or shall I say, has never been explained in a way that it can be understood straight away。 I also love the fact that the author gets straight to the point and offers unusual ways to stop sabotaging yourself。 'I loved this book' is an understatement。 。。。more

This book has some really good concepts and discussions but not enough on how to actually do it。 It’s felt more like here’s my theory vs heres how you do it。

Great food for thought about life and relationshipsThis had an impact on my mindset。 I look forward to defining/discovering or affirming my Zone of Genius and working on striving for it and living in it。

This book was a game-changer for me。 I first read it about 10 years ago then recently bought another copy and re-read / listened on Audible。 If you are interested in learning more about yourself and the reasons you behave in the way you do / understanding patterns of behaviour, I highly recommend this book。

Life-changing book。 The wisdom shared in this book will open up possibilities of expanding your capacity to live the life you most want。 Highy recommend。
